Grace Period

A period after a missed premium during which the policy stays in force.

Most life and health policies provide a grace period (often 30 or 31 days) after a premium due date. If the insured dies during the grace period, the death benefit is paid less any premium owed. If premium is still unpaid at the end, the policy lapses.

This is one of hundreds of tested concepts.
